Therapy by surgery
Ambulant surgery
Generally, patients can be treated by ambulant surgery or as in-patients. Depending on the surgical intervention if the patient provides the medical conditions for an ambulant surgery (ability to be under anaestetic, no underlying diseases, follow-up care at home) such intervention is performed in the ambulatory of the “Marienhospital” in Cologne. This way, the recovery process can then be carried out at home. The availability of the treating doctors or surgeons of
SPORTHOMEDIC - Prof. Dr. med. Oliver Tobolski, Dirk Tenner and Christian Hoppe – is guaranteed at all times.
In-patient surgery
In the event that you do not have the option to be looked after at home or if the extent of the intervention does not allow for an ambulant surgery we have the option to use in-patient beds at the hospital in Wesseling (“Dreifaltigkeitskrankenhaus Wesseling”). Thereby it is guaranteed that the surgery is performed by Prof. Dr. med. Tobolski as a consultant in the hospital and that the postoperative treatment follows also at the hospital in Wesseling. The regular checkups after the surgery are also performed by the surgeon and any questions that might come up can be discussed with him.
