- Grown up in Rhineland, Abitur (A-levels) 1987 in Meckenheim near Bonn.
- After basic military service, start of Medical Studies in 1988 in Bonn and subsequently in Montpellier and Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle).
- 3rd State Examination in 1994 at the Faculty of Medicine of the Bonn University.
- Subsequently doctor-in-training at various hospitals in Waldbröl, Cologne and Münster (special field: surgery).
- Parallelly to studies, specialisation in the treatment of sports-orthopaedic/sports-traumatologic disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
- Employment with the Universitätsklinik zu Münster (University Hospital of Münster), there involved in the assessment and clarification of scientific issues.
- Numerous observational rotations in Germany and abroad with leading sports orthopaedists/sports traumatologists as well as wide-ranging education in the surgical as well as non-surgical treatment of sports injuries.
- In 2001, advanced training and specialisation in sports medicine and chirotherapy.
- Parallelly, assumption of teaching activities at the Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln (German Sport University Cologne) as well as at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln (University of Applied Sciences Cologne).
- Since 2001, resident physician in private pratice in Cologne, specialised in sports orthopaedics and sports traumatology, since 2006 medical consultant at the Wesseling hospital.
- Member of the Deutscher Sportärztebund (German Federation of Sports Medicine) and member of the Deutschsprachige Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Arthroskopie (German-speaking Arthroscopy Association).
- Mentoring doctor of the special task forces of the Cologne Police Department as well as various competitive athletes (German Tennis League SC Marienburg, professional boxer Mr. Felix Sturm etc.).
- Private sporting activities: tennis and endurance sports.
